Design & Media

We are the Design & Media Society! The world of multimedia can be a harrowing one, and the road is not always easy - so we are here to help those in our field and give them a better chance at success in the creative world!

We aim to provide opportunities for students in media-related departments to form connections and learn about potential employers, job opportunities and ways of developing their career plan.

We also aim to provide opportunities for students to put their design skills to practical use, e.g. by designing a video for the International Office etc.

We host a variety of social events for everyone in the Media Communications department to get to know each other, exchange a wealth of information and provide assistance to those who need it.

We also invite industry professionals to come and speak and give constructive critics on your portfolios to help better yourself in your field of choice.

History

Founded as the Media Communications Society in 2013 before being rebranded as the Design & Media Society in 2017. After a two year absence, the society was restarted in 2021 and has been going strong ever since!
