Books don't always have to be associated with studying and college work. In the Book Club, we read books from all sorts of genres. As a society we all decide on the genre of the month together and then meet to discuss our thoughts and feelings on the chosen book.
Not a fan of the book that was chosen? We also host separate events that can range from a book-swap event, to an arts and crafts event, to a murder mystery dinner.
You don't need to be an avid reader to join, there is options for everyone. Once a month we read a book, but we also choose a Graphic Novel, either a comic or manga as well that month, if that's more your style. We encourage reading of all types, as long as you have enjoyment for literature and narrative, we want you as a member!
The Book Club Society was formed in November of 2024 and we have been hosting events since February of 2025.
We won Best New Society 2026 for The Kerry Society Awards.
We Won Best Poster 2026 for The Kerry MTU Society Awards.
We got to the top five for Best Poster in the BICS National Awards 2026 in Offaly.
We email all our members in advance about any events that we will be hosting. Just remember to check your emails.
